This policy explains what information QTR collects, why, how it's used and shared, and the choices you have. QTR connects clients who need local trade and building services with the businesses that provide them. By using QTR you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information you provide: your name, email address, and phone number. Businesses also provide a business name, service address, trade(s), service radius, and any license number they choose to enter.
Requests and quotes: the job details, service address, and messages you enter to request or quote work, and the resulting quotes, jobs, reviews and ratings.
Precise location: only when a provider chooses to share their live location while traveling to a job ("on my way"), and only for the duration of that trip. Location sharing is off unless the provider starts it, and it stops when the trip ends. We do not track your location in the background.
Device and push tokens: a push-notification token for each device you enable notifications on, so we can alert you to leads, quotes and job updates.
Payment information: QTR does not collect or store your full card number. All card details are entered directly into Stripe, our payment processor, which handles and stores them. We receive only a token, the card's last four digits/brand, and charge results.
Usage and diagnostic data: basic technical information needed to operate the app (for example, error and delivery status of notifications). QTR does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
2. How we use your information
To create and run your account and match clients with providers.
To dispatch leads, deliver quotes, assign jobs, and exchange the phone numbers of a client and provider once a quote is accepted so they can arrange the work.
To process payments through Stripe: the client's per-request fee, and the provider's subscription and the 4% acceptance fee charged to the provider's card on file when a quote is accepted.
To send you notifications you've enabled (new leads, quotes, job status, billing).
To show a provider's city and state and a distance to clients in the directory — never the provider's exact street address or GPS coordinates.
To display verified reviews, and to operate reporting, blocking and moderation of user content.
To prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
3. How information is shared
QTR is a connection service, so some sharing between clients and providers is the whole point:
Between client and provider: when a client requests a quote, the provider receives the job details and service address. When a client accepts a quote, the client's and provider's phone numbers are exchanged so they can arrange the work directly.
Service providers: Stripe (payments), our cloud/database and notification providers (to operate the app), and — when SMS is enabled in the future and you consent — a messaging provider for text alerts.
Legal: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
4. Your choices
Notifications: turn push notifications on or off per device in your device settings and in the app.
Location: providers control live-location sharing per trip; it is never on by default.
Access and deletion: you can delete your account from within the app (Profile tab → Account → Delete Account), or request deletion by email if you can't access the app. Full instructions, including exactly what is removed and what is retained, are on our Delete Your Account page. Deleting removes your sign-in and your personal profile details (name, email, phone, address); records required for legal, tax, or dispute purposes (such as completed transactions) may be retained in anonymized or tombstoned form as the law requires.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then only as long as required for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution and fraud-prevention purposes. Shared live-location coordinates from a trip are removed on a short schedule after the trip ends.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures, row-level database security, and encryption in transit to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
7. Children
QTR is not directed to children under 18 and is intended for adults arranging real-world services. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
